With recent departures from the District Attorney's office, there is a plan for upcoming trials and cases

When former Deputy District Attorney Luke Brownfield left earlier this year, three new hires joined the office.

Now with the recent departure of three attorneys, new hire Ms. Moksha Chattopadhya, DDA Jason Sheets and DDA Kelly Neel, I asked District Attorney Maggie Fleming, how this would impact the upcoming trials/cases they handled.

Her response:

"Jason (Sheets) was in juvenile so his calendar has been reassigned to Jessica (Watson) and as the juvenile prosecutor he did not have any jury trials.  Kelly (Neel) had 2 homicide cases and I am reviewing all the homicides currently set for trial to determine who is available to handle those.  I plan  to have those reassigned in the next few days so the deputy DAs assigned to them will very soon be in contact with the families of the victims.  Kelly (Neel) was also handling the domestic violence cases and now those will be distributed to all the attorneys. "
